Meet DeLond Parker, Sr.

The story
DeLond Parker, Sr. is a US Navy veteran who served in the Vietnam era aboard an aircraft carrier. Parker's assignment was Ship's Service-Man, managing and operating the dry cleaning and laundry services on the carrier. Before the Navy, and going back to early childhood, Parker worked in a family-owned dry cleaning business, where he learned the fundamentals of a professional dry cleaning system.
After high school but before the Navy, Parker majored in Architectural Drafting at NC A&T State University. Later, Parker built a successful career as a truck driver for United Parcel Service (UPS) in the Tractor-Trailer Division, and spent the later years of his career as an independent owner/operator.
With over 40 years of experience in trucking and logistics, Parker has more than 7 million miles of driving experience, including a 30-year safe driving record with UPS. He also shared his driving knowledge and safety expertise as a Commercial Driver License (CDL) instructor at a local truck driving school, teaching students pre-trip, post-trip, air brakes, safety lines, parking and backing trailers, and road test fundamentals for Class A equipment. His training class had a 98% success rate on the CDL road test.
With his early experience as a businessman and a successful career in the trucking industry, Parker is a passionate entrepreneur with a vested interest in transportation and logistics.

After more than 50 years behind the wheel as a professional truck driver, I've seen what happens when a new CDL driver hits the road without the right foundation.
They pass the test. They get the license. And then they're on their own.
The classroom teaches them what they need to know to pass. But the road teaches them everything else — often the hard way.
Backing a 53-foot trailer in a tight dock at 2 am. Managing fatigue on hour 9 of an 11-hour shift. Recognizing black ice before it's too late. Navigating a truck stop safely when every space is taken, and tensions are high.
These are the situations that cause preventable accidents in a driver's first year. Not because the driver wasn't smart enough — but because nobody walked them through it before it happened.
That's why I created the Pro Driver Safety System — a structured, audio-narrated safety-reinforcement program built around the real-world situations that new CDL drivers face. Not a replacement for training. A bridge between the classroom and the road.
